Windows, Doors and Skylights Rebates

ENERGY STAR® windows, doors and skylights rebates to help you save

Is it time to replace your windows? You could save up to $235 annually on heating and cooling bills when you replace single pane windows with ENERGY STAR® windows.

You could get $1 per square foot off your purchase if they are consistent with ENERGY STAR® specifications for the North-Central climate zone.

5 reasons to choose ENERGY STAR® windows

1. Increase your comfort

ENERGY STAR® windows can help keep your home’s temperature consistent and comfortable no matter the weather.

2. Stay warm in the winter

If you stand next to your windows on a cold winter day does it feel cooler than the rest of your home and are the windows cold to the touch? This means the warm air you’re paying for is being cooled down as it gets close to the window. This spot will feel uncomfortable because it will pull warm air from your body; and inefficient windows can also create drafts.

3. Keep cool in the summer

In the summer, do certain rooms feel hotter than others? A double pane window allows up to 75% of the heat from the sun into your home. Some ENERGY STAR® windows only allow up to 20% of the heat from the sun into your home keeping it cool and comfortable.

4. Keep your furniture looking new

UV radiation causes most of the fading in fabrics. Efficient windows can reflect up to 74% of those furniture and fabric damaging rays caused by UV rays and adding protective films can block up to 99%.

5. Bright natural light that doesn’t add heat

Certain ENERGY STAR® windows block infrared light while still allowing high levels of visible light so you can have great natural light in your home without the added heat in the summer.

5 signs you may need new windows

1. You’re having difficulty opening, closing, or locking the windows

Windows should open, close, and lock smoothly. If you’re having trouble it could mean that they weren’t installed properly or they are beginning to rust or rot, making them difficult to use.

2. It’s too loud in your home

If you notice a lot of noise coming in from the outside, it’s likely a sign you have older windows. New, high performing windows can help decrease outdoor noise.

3. You feel a draft

If you feel a draft, you could have older inefficient windows that are not as well insulated and will let more air through than newer efficient models. There could be other causes such as issues with the installation, weather seals that have become worn over time, aging window frames, and normal wear and tear.

4. Rotting frames

Moisture can build up in wooden window frames over time. And if you are noticing decay or rotting, it’s a clear sign that it’s time to replace your windows.

5. Leaky windows or condensation

Not all condensation is a bad thing but if you see condensation between the panes, it’s a sign that the windows’ seals have failed and the windows may become leaky.
