
Training session provides information on safe digging practices and is open to the general public
Chester, VA – Columbia Gas of Virginia is announcing that registration is now open for its Open House Damage Prevention training session in October. The session, which will be led by the Columbia Gas Damage Prevention team, will offer training focused on Virginia law and industry best practices when it comes to safe digging.
“This training is critically important and helps to reduce the likelihood of damages from improper digging that can lead to injury or death, environmental harm, service disruptions and financial consequences,” said Columbia Gas of Virginia President and Chief Operating Officer Jennifer Montague. “In addition, this training is open to everyone, including members of the general public, so we do encourage people to participate in this fantastic learning opportunity.”
Here are the details of the training, which will have a limited number of spots available for participants:
- Location: Columbia Gas Training Center at 1812 Coyote Drive, Chester, VA 23836
- Date and Time: Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, from 9 to 11 a.m.
