Unlike other energy sources, natural gas generates instant heat as soon as it’s turned on, powering your home's furnace, fireplace, stove, and water heater.
When you use natural gas, 90 percent of what is extracted from the ground is delivered to your appliances, as opposed to electricity, which, according to the U.S. Department of Energy, only delivers 30 percent of its usable energy from its generation to your appliances.
Natural gas is piped directly into your residence. It’s always there when you need it and you never have to worry about running out of fuel or arranging for deliveries.
