What is WarmWise?

WarmWise is Columbia Gas of Virginia’s energy efficiency and conservation program designed to help customers lower their energy costs and conserve our natural resources. It is estimated that since its launch, WarmWise has helped our customers save nearly $3.5 million dollars since the program began in 2010. The program offers cash back rebates for our residential and small commercial (business) customers who upgrade to qualifying energy-saving equipment. A free WarmWise Home Savings Evaluation is also available to our residential customers through the program. After completing the evaluation, customers will receive customized energy-saving tips and a free energy efficiency kit to help them immediately start reducing their gas usage and saving money.

What is the best way for customers to get started with WarmWise?

The best place to get started is WarmWiseVA.com.

Residential customers have the opportunity to take our free online energy audit called the Home Savings Evaluation. After completing the evaluation, customers can print their customized energy-saving tips and receive a free energy efficiency kit to help them immediately start saving money and reduce their gas usage.

Also on the site, both residential and business customers can review the list of equipment that qualifies for WarmWise rebates and access rebate applications.

Do all customers qualify for the WarmWise Program?

All residential service customers qualify (excludes propane service customers and master metered customers).

Businesses on a commercial rate schedule (SGS, SGTS and EDS) can qualify. Simply, if a business is billed the $25.00 monthly customer charge, it qualifies.

What if residential customers have already completed the Home Savings Evaluation?

To receive additional personalized information about how to save energy, customers should update their Home Savings Evaluation profile with some of the recommendations that they have completed since their initial or last profile update. Customers may access their profile by visiting WarmWiseVA.com and clicking on the button to take the Home Savings Evaluation and following the instructions.
