Columbia Gas of Virginia Begins Work Improving Natural Gas Infrastructure on Grubert Ave. and W. Beverley St. in Staunton

Chester, VA – January 6, 2017 – Columbia Gas of Virginia will be working on Grubert Ave. and Beverly St. as part of the latest infrastructure modernization project to replace aging natural gas facilities in Staunton. Columbia Gas of Virginia expects the work to take place over the next 90 days replacing and improving the system reliability of its natural gas system.
The $200,000 investment by Columbia Gas of Virginia will require changing traffic patterns along both Grubert Avenue and W. Beverley St. during the construction. Drivers are reminded to slow down, watch for and respect the workers in the construction zone and follow the directions of the traffic flaggers or signs.
This project is part of the five-year $150 million investment Columbia Gas of Virginia is making to modernize the natural gas infrastructure across Virginia.
