The application period for Virginia residents seeking financial assistance for the 2013-2014 heating season through the Virginia Energy Assistance program closes on November 8. The Virginia Department of Social Services administers the federally-funded Low-Income Home Energy Assistance program through the Virginia Energy Assistance program. Eligible consumers can make applications at their local Department of Social Services office.

Families of more than (5) add $436/monthly or $5,226/year for each additional family member. The Fuel Assistance Program in Virginia is based on need.
