Columbia Gas of Virginia Supports The Lynchburg Daily Bread With A $10,000 Contribution

CHESTER, Va. – Columbia Gas of Virginia today announced a $10,000 company contribution to the Lynchburg Daily Bread, a soup kitchen in Lynchburg, Virginia which prepares and serves hot lunches to residents in need. The donation is being made to help the organization purchase new ovens for its kitchen which operates 365 days a year.

“We have supported the Lynchburg Daily Bread with company contributions in the past, but this year a group of our Lynchburg employees brought to our attention the need for new ovens,” said Carl Levander, President of Columbia Gas of Virginia. “The Lynchburg Daily Bread is vitally important to this community and we are pleased to be able to help them purchase new energy-efficient natural gas appliances for their kitchen.”

Columbia Gas of Virginia employees will present a check to Tracy Dixon, executive director of the Lynchburg Daily Bread, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 721 Clay Street in downtown Lynchburg.
