Columbia Gas of Virginia Investing $2.3 million Improving Utility Infrastructure in Fredericksburg

May 13, 2013 – Columbia Gas of Virginia has started underground utility construction work on Princess Anne Street just southeast of the intersection with Amelia Street in Fredericksburg. The six month project is part of a $2.3 million investment Columbia Gas is doing to upgrade its natural gas facilities.
The investment will include replacing aging underground natural gas facilities on portions of the following streets:
• Amelia St. from Princess Anne to Caroline
• Barton St. from George to William
• Caroline St. from Ford to Amelia
• Day St. from Barton to end
• George St. from Hanover to Barton
• Hanover St. from Princess Anne to Jackson
• Kenmore St. from William to Hanover
• Princess Anne from Amelia to Hanover
• William St (two sections)
o From Caroline to Prince Edward
o From Douglas to Kenmore
