Chester, VA – February 8, 2012 – WarmWise, Columbia Gas of Virginia’s energy efficiency and conservation program, received the 2011 Outstanding Achievement in Marketing Communications Award at the Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) annual meeting.

The AESP award recognized the comprehensive marketing and communications approach Columbia Gas of Virginia uses in raising awareness and having customers take advantage of the WarmWise program. In accepting the award, Chris Griffin, WarmWise program manager for Columbia Gas of Virginia, said, “We are pleased to receive this prestigious award in recognition of our efforts in educating our customers, and the general public, about the importance energy efficiency and conservation plays in making their lives better through using energy wisely.”

To date, WarmWise has helped more than 12,000 Columbia Gas of Virginia customers collectively save nearly $1.25 million on their natural gas bills. The WarmWise program includes a free online home evaluation tool for customers to learn about the total energy used in their home and how to make smart decisions about conserving energy.
