Limited time only - get $1500 back on a High Efficiency furnace

For a limited time only, Columbia Gas of Virginia residential customers who purchase and install a "super efficient" High Efficiency Tier 2 or Tier 3 furnace on or after December 20, 2011, can qualify to receive $1500 cash back through our partnership with the Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy (DMME).

But you must act quickly because funds are limited!

What is "super efficient" High Efficiency Tier 2 or Tier 3?

These furnaces have been rated by the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE), which has worked with energy-efficiency organizations and utilities nationwide to promote common specifications for systems and products that offer greater efficiency. High Efficiency, Tier 2 and Tier 3 furnaces exceed the energy conservation standards of ENERGY STAR.These furnaces are much more energy efficient, and will help to ensure that Virginia residents receive the maximum benefits in dollar and energy savings from this program. 

Reserve your rebate

Funds are limited and federal grant guidelines require you to reserve your rebate.

  1. Request a super efficient furnace rebate General Application and a Supplement Form by contacting Chris Griffin, our manager of energy efficiency programs, at (804) 768-6412 or cgriffin@nisource.com.
  2. Purchase a CEE-rated High Efficiency Tier 2 (greater than or equal to 92%) or Tier 3 (greater than or equal to 94%) qualified furnace from a Virginia retailer or vendor.
  3. Ensure proper installation of your new furnace and the recycling or proper disposal of your old furnace.

Redeem your rebate

You must redeem your rebate within thirty (30) days of reserving your rebate.

  1. Complete and sign your super efficient furnace rebate General Application along with your super high efficient furnace Supplement Form.
  2. Fax the forms to (804) 768-6413 attn. Chris Griffin or email the forms to cgriffin@nisource.com within thirty (30) days of reserving your rebate. Be sure to include all required documentation.
  3. Contact us at (804) 768-6412 to confirm receipt of your forms and documentation.

We will send you an email once your paperwork has been approved. Our email will also notify you of when you should expect your rebate check. Please allow 1-2 weeks for processing. You can contact us at (804) 768-6412 to check the status of your rebate.

 

**This is a limited time offer funded in part by the Virginia DMME. THESE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT FUNDS SUPPLEMENT OUR EXISTING REBATE PROGRAM. Once these funds are exhausted, our residential customers will only qualify for the standard $300 rebate provided by Columbia Gas of Virginia's WarmWise Home Savings Rebate Program.
