Business Custom Rebate Program
Columbia Gas of Virginia is pleased to offer the WarmWise Business Custom Rebate Program. The program provides rebates to businesses on a commercial rate schedule (SGS, SGTS and EDS) for cost-effective, natural gas energy efficiency improvement projects within their own facilities.
The 2011 WarmWise Business Custom Rebate Program Manual is designed for use by customers, contractors, architecture and engineering firms, energy services companies and equipment manufacturers as a guide outlining the rules and requirements of the Business Custom Rebate Program.
The program manual includes a 2011 WarmWise Business Custom Program Agreement and application templates. The appendices include frequently asked questions about the Business Custom Rebate Program, the 2011 WarmWise Business Custom Rebate PRE INSTALLATION Report, and the 2011 WarmWise Business Custom Rebate POST INSTALLATION Report.
Qualifying Measures
Qualifying measures include retrofit projects of existing systems; first-time installation with qualified efficiency standards and energy-savings measures.
Prospective participants may propose the inclusion of any measure that:
- Produces a verifiable reduction in natural gas usage
- Installed in either existing or new construction projects
- Has a minimum useful life of seven years
- Exceeds minimum cost-effectiveness requirements as required by the Virginia State Corporation Commission.
Non-Qualifying Measures
Measures excluded from the Business Custom Rebate Program include:
- Rebates offered through the Business Savings Program
- Rely solely on change to customer behavior
- Installations that merely terminate existing processes, facilities or operations
- Installations that involve fuel-switching
- Projects required by state or federal law, building or other codes or are standard industry practice
- Receive a rebate through any other energy source.
