Applicable Riders

Effective December 30, 2011, Columbia Gas of Virginia will apply a $0.36 rider to residential bills pursuant to the Steps to Advance Virginia's Energy Plan (SAVE) enacted by the Virginia General Assembly in 2010. The Virginia State Corporation Commission approved the SAVE plan for Columbia Gas of Virginia in 2011. The SAVE act provides recovery of accelerated capital expenditures for the modernization of natural gas facilities that enhances system reliability, safety, or reduces greenhouse gas emissions.

 

Residential Service (RS) Rates

Residential Sales Service (RS) for customers that were not on Residential Transportation Service (RTS) in the last 12 months:

  • $0.9098 per Ccf for the first all natural gas consumed each month.
  • $14.25 per month customer charge.

Residential Sales Service (RS) for customers that were on Residential Transportation Service (RTS) in the last 12 months:

  • $0.9475 per Ccf for all natural gas consumed each month.
  • $14.25 per month customer charge.

Residential Transportation Service (RTS) Rates (Customer Choice Program)

CGV customers are eligible to participate in the Customer Choice Program enabling customers to choose their gas supplier. Customers choosing an alternative supplier pay the following service and delivery charge rates to Columbia Gas of Virginia. These rates do not include the gas costs from the supplier.

Residential Transportation Service (RTS) for customers that were not on Residential Sales Service (RS) in the last 12 months:

  • $0.5239 per Ccf for all natural gas consumed each month.
  • $14.25 per month customer charge.

Price to compare (as of March 29, 2012) = $0.4236 per Ccf for all natural gas consumed.

Residential Transportation Service (RTS) for customers that were on Residential Sales Service (RS) in the last 12 months:

  • $0.4862  per Ccf for all natural gas consumed each month.
  • $14.25 per month customer charge.

Price to compare (as of March 29, 2012) = $0.4236 per Ccf for all natural gas consumed.

Small General Service (SGS) Rates (Small Commercial)

Small General Service (SGS) for customers that were not on Small General Transportation Service (SGTS) in the last 12 months:

  • $0.7265 per Ccf for the first 200 of each month
  • $0.7137 per Ccf for the first 800 of each month
  • $0.7102 per Ccf for the first 9000 of each month
  • $0.7043 per Ccf for the first 15,000 of each month
  • $0.7011 per Ccf for the remaining Ccf used in each month
  • $25.00 per month customer charge

Small General Service (SGS) for customers that were on Small General Transportation Service (SGTS) in the last 12 months:

  • $0.7515 per Ccf for the first 200 of each month
  • $0.7387 per Ccf for the first 800 of each month
  • $0.7352 per Ccf for the first 9000 of each month
  • $0.7293 per Ccf for the first 15,000 of each month
  • $0.7261 per Ccf for the remaining Ccf used in each month
  • $25.00 per month customer charge

All customers are eligible to participate in the Customer Choice Program enabling customers to choose their gas supplier. Customers choosing an alternative supplier pay the following service and delivery charge rates to Columbia Gas of Virginia. These rates do not include the gas costs from the supplier.

Small General Transportation Service (SGTS) for customers that were not on Small General Service (SGS) in the last 12 months:

  • $0.3856 per Ccf for the first 200 of each month
  • $0.3728 per Ccf for the first 800 of each month
  • $0.3693 per Ccf for the first 9000 of each month
  • $0.3634 per Ccf for the first 15,000 of each month
  • $0.3602 per Ccf for the remaining Ccf used in each month
  • $25.00 per month customer charge

Price to compare (as of March 29, 2012) = $0.3659 per Ccf for the first 200 Ccf consumed.

Small General Transportation Service (SGTS) for customers that were on Small General Service (SGS) in the last 12 months:

  • $0.3606 per Ccf for the first 200 of each month
  • $0.3478 per Ccf for the first 800 of each month
  • $0.3443 per Ccf for the first 9000 of each month
  • $0.3384 per Ccf for the first 15,000 of each month
  • $0.3352 per Ccf for the remaining Ccf used in each month
  • $25.00 per month customer charge
