Friends of the Rappahannock Receives $5,000 Donation from Columbia Gas of Virginia
CHESTER, VA. – Nov. 11, 2009 – The Friends of the Rappahannock has received a $5,000 donation from Columbia Gas of Virginia.
"The protection and beautification of the environment are important values to Columbia Gas of Virginia and our employees," said Carl Levander, President of Columbia Gas of Virginia. "We are pleased to provide this contribution to the Friends of the Rappahannock to help them continue the efforts in restoring water quality of the river and keeping the river fishable and swimmable."

The Friends of the Rappahannock works to protect the river and promote its natural beauty and history. For several years, FOR has been promoting environmental awareness and protection. The mission is to have a Rappahannock River that is clean and safe for both aquatic life and recreation.
