Application Process
Columbia
Gas of Virginia has a long tradition of providing an essential
service to communities: heat. In turn, we also target charitable
contributions toward projects and programs that meet the essential
needs of the communities we serve.
We fund
specific projects that allow us to build partnerships with
organizations through their leaders, customers and volunteers.
We place priority consideration on proposals directed toward
specific projects that improve or enhance delivery of the
following needs:
- Energy
- Education
- Environmental
Stewardship
Requests
to Columbia Gas are accepted year-round and are reviewed continuously.
Although Columbia Gas will contact your organization if more
information is needed, we ask your proposal be as clear and
precise as possible.
If access
to the requested grant forms is unavailable, submit a proposal
for funding that includes the following:
- Verification
of Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) tax exempt status
- IRS
Form 990
- Organization's
mission statement and/or strategic plan/purpose/objectives
of the grant
- Summary
of the project
- Areas/counties/regions
of Virginia to be served
- Amount
requested and rationale
- Schedule
of implementation
- Description
of the benefits to be achieved and the populations to be
served
- Plans
for evaluating and reporting results
- Financial
analysis of the projects
- Two
(2) years of audited finances
- Person
in charge of the project and qualifications
- Names
and affiliations of trustees or board of directors
