Environmental
Challenge Fund
As a NiSource
subsidiary, Columbia Gas of Virginia takes an active role
in helping our customers compete successfully while enhancing
environmental protection and social responsibility. And that's
one reason why we partner in the Environmental Challenge Fund.
 The
Environmental Challenge Fund is an employee-driven, not-for-profit
corporation created by NiSource. It is designed to stimulate
local efforts to preserve, protect and enhance the environment
in the service territories of NiSource subsidiaries. Each
fall, the fund invites environmental and community organizations
to submit project proposals for funding. Awards are then announced
annually on Earth Day.The Fund provides support for natural
resource/wildlife enhancement projects. These projects also
create educational and recreational opportunities for people
in these areas.
